ASSESSMENT
OF THE IMPACT OF THE
ETHIOPIAN
ECONOMICS ASSOCIATION'S
ACTIVITIES
(2015-2025)
The Ethiopian
Economics Association (EEA) invites qualified individual consultants or consulting
firms to undertake a comprehensive impact assessment of the Association's
activities over a decade.
Since its
establishment in 1991, EEA has played a pivotal role in advancing economic
research, policy dialogue, training, and knowledge dissemination in Ethiopia.
To enhance its institutional effectiveness and strategic direction, EEA seeks
to document and evaluate the impact, relevance, and contribution of its work in
research, policy influence, capacity building, events, partnerships, and media
engagement.
SCOPE OF WORK
The assessment will
cover the period 2015-2024 and will:
- Document EEA's
major activities and outputs;
- Evaluate the
reach and influence of research, publications, and events;
- Assess the
effectiveness of capacity-building programs and professional services;
- Measure EEA's
contributions to policy and societal impact; and
- Identify
strengths, gaps, and areas for institutional improvement.
Qualifications
Applicants should
demonstrate: fines
- Proven experience
in impact evaluation, institutional assessment, or research performance
analysis;
- Strong academic
background in economics, development studies, or public policy at
- Proficiency in
mixed-methods research (quantitative and qualitative);
- Experience in
bibliometric and policy influence analysis and
- Excellent
analytical, writing, and communication skills.
Experience working
with research and policy institutions will be an added advantage.
DELIVERABLES
- Inception report
and data collection tools;
- Draft impact
assessment report:
- Validation
workshop facilitation;
- Final report;
- Five-minute summary
video.
Submission Details
Interested
consultants or firms should submit:
1. A technical
proposal outlining the approach, methodology. and work plan;
2. A financial
proposal (in Ethiopian Birr);
3. Detailed CVs of
key experts or firm profile; and
4. At least two
references or samples of similar work.
